II Peter 1: 1 – 11 (vs.3 ESV)
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.”
We are called to life – to live godly lives through the Divine Power of our God
and Savior Jesus Christ. He equips us by giving us knowledge and virtue.
Just like the Apostle Peter, before we encountered Jesus, we lacked faith,
we spoke unwisely, and hastily, we were broken, unreliable, inconsistent,
short tempered, etc.
Thankfully, also like Peter, after we have experienced one Divine Encounter
after another with our Lord Jesus and the Blessed Holy Spirit, we are
changed forever. We are given everything we need for Godly Living!
Acts 9: 1 – 16 (vs 15-16 ESV)
“But the Lord said to him, Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry
my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. For I will
show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”
The Apostle Paul had his Divine Encounter on the Damascus Road.
It changed him forever!
Ponder:
Have I had a Divine Encounter with the Lord?
Have I been changed?
Am I living a Godly life?
Amen!
